Adoption by Industries

Vision : To inculcate technological skills amongst youth to empower them for gainful employment through technical & vocational education; and to enhance productivity of formal & non-formal sector of economy by having close interaction with industry.

    Adoption by Industry

In India, where dominance of the Govt. in the planning and implementation of Vocational Training Programs is overwhelming, a shift of responsibility in terms of financing and management of Vocational Training from Govt. to employers/Industry has been envisaged through Public Private Partnership (PPP). So far inputs from Industry into ITIs were merely of advisory nature, which were not very effective. Advisory inputs need to be replaced with managerial & technical inputs. To make the training relavant and accountable to users, 47 ITIs have been adopted by 25 Industries for upgradation.
